The Taylor Expansions

چکیده
For simplicity, we use the following convention: n denotes a natural number, i denotes an integer, p, x, x0, y denote real numbers, q denotes a rational number, and f denotes a partial function from R to R. Let q be an integer. The functor qZ yields a function from R into R and is defined as follows: (Def. 1) For every real number x holds (qZ)(x) = x q Z. Next we state a number of propositions: (1) For all natural numbers m, n holds x Z = (x n Z) · x m Z . (2) Z is differentiable in x and ( n Z) (x) = n · x Z . (3) If f is differentiable in x0, then ( n Z) · f is differentiable in x0 and (( n Z) · f)′(x0) = n · f(x0) n−1 Z · f ′(x0). (4) exp(−x) = 1 expx .

Solving Differential Equations Using Modified VIM
In this paper a modification of He's variational iteration method (VIM) has been employed to solve Dung and Riccati equations. Sometimes, it is not easy or even impossible, to obtain the first few iterations of VIM, therefore, we suggest to approximate the integrand by using suitable expansions such as Taylor or Chebyshev expansions.
متن کاملNUMERICAL SOLUTION OF THE MOST GENERAL NONLINEAR FREDHOLM INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL-DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS BY USING TAYLOR POLYNOMIAL APPROACH
In this study, a Taylor method is developed for numerically solving the high-order most general nonlinear Fredholm integro-differential-difference equations in terms of Taylor expansions. The method is based on transferring the equation and conditions into the matrix equations which leads to solve a system of nonlinear algebraic equations with the unknown Taylor coefficients. Also, we test the ...

According to Taylor (1993) rule, the monetary authority responds to deviations of output and of inflation from their targets through nominal interest rate fluctuations regarded as policy instrument. Another specification that has received considerable attention is that policymakers may have asymmetric preferences with regard to their objectives during recessions and expansions. Since according ...
متن کاملAN ANALYTICAL SOLUTION FOR DIFFUSION AND NONLINEAR UPTAKE OF OXYGEN IN THE RETINA
A simple mathematical model of steady state oxygen distribution subject to diffusive transport and non- linear uptake in a retinal cylinder has been developed. The approximate analytical solution to a reaction- diffusion equation are obtained by using series expansions. The computational results for the scaled variables are presented through graphs. The effect of the important parameters (1) d...
متن کاملTaylor expansions of solutions of stochastic partial differential equations
The solutions of parabolic and hyperbolic stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) driven by an infinite dimensional Brownian motion, which is a martingale, are in general not semi-martingales any more and therefore do not satisfy an Itô formula like the solutions of finite dimensional stochastic differential equations (SODEs). In particular, it is not possible to derive stochastic Tay...
متن کاملModelling, Analysis and Simulation Modelling, Analysis and Simulation Multi-point Taylor expansions of analytic functions
Taylor expansions of analytic functions are considered with respect to several points, allowing confluence of any of them. Cauchy-type formulas are given for coefficients and remainders in the expansions, and the regions of convergence are indicated. It is explained how these expansions can be used in deriving uniform asymptotic expansions of integrals. The method is also used for obtaining Lau...
